Find us at the Book Fair (South Hall, Table BB40), along with students and faculty of the Everett Community College Written Arts AFA program, who help produce each print issue. Please come visit us to pick up a copy of our latest issue, and learn about our plans for 2014 and beyond to ensure that Poetry Northwest remains the most vibrant poetry magazine in the region.

We’re teaming up with Seattle Arts & Lectures to help you get your AWParty started right. Featuring Poetry NW contributors: Brittany Cavallaro, Matthew Neinow, Matthew Olzmann, Hannah Sanghee Park, Zach Savich, Don Share, Cody Walker, Kary Wayson, Catherine Wing, and special guest Heather McHugh. Music by the swing jazz combo Mouce Manouche, featuring the sultry voice of Seattle singer-songwriter Carol Weber. All this and a special appearance by Seattle’s beloved Vis-a-Vis Society. Our best Emerald City welcome, all for you!

The Kizer Legacy: 55 Years of Poetry Northwest

Friday, February 28, Noon – 1:15 pm Convention Center Level 6, Room 609

Featuring: Nicky Beer, Olena Kalytiak Davis, Amy Glynn, and Sierra Nelson. Editor Kevin Craft will introduce four poets, published in recent issues of the magazine, each of whom reflect in various ways the vision and legacy of Founding Editor Carolyn Kizer, who went on to become the first Director of Literature Programs at the NEA.
